Replenishment Analyst

Description:Animal Health International, the premier animal health products distributor offering cattle, equine, poultry, swine and companion animal products and supplies has a career opportunity for an experienced Replenishment Analyst to join our team in Roanoke, TX. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a large, stable and growing organization using state-of-the-art SAP systems.
Duties: Ensuring the assigned locations are adequately replenished to meet customer needs, maintaining inventory turn goals, and minimizing dead inventory
Purchasing products based upon inventory needs and programs following guidelines of good inventory management control
Monitoring and tracking manufacturer shipments and backorders
Completing purchase orders completely and accurately on a daily basis, including vendor, product code and description, quantity and unit, date, cost, freight and ship to location
Regularly reviewing the current sales volumes and anticipated sales trends with Regional Replenishment Manager on an ongoing basis
Recommending programs for the movement of long and obsolete or outdated merchandise
Working with warehouse personnel to assure awareness of rapid changes in inventory levels
Regularly monitor vendor returns to insure accurate inventory records
Qualifications: Two-year business degree, and/or related college level courses preferred. Experience may be substituted for formal education.
1 year Purchasing experience preferred
Experience in the Animal Health Industry preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent organization skills
Strong analytical skills
The ability to travel domestically on an occasional basis
