Description:Animal Health International, the premier animal health products distributor offering cattle, equine, poultry, swine and companion animal products and supplies is seeking an experienced IT Training Specialist to join our IT Team. Duties: Coordinating daily training and helpdesk operations to promote smooth and efficient use of information systems and peripherals
Managing, monitoring, and maintaining all training applications of the corporate systems training activities and materials, and providing technical guidance to system users
Computer systems training, maintaining and complying with the best training and incident management practices
Conferring with management to gain knowledge of work situations requiring training for employees to better understand changes in policies, procedures, regulations, and technologies
Working with management to achieve corporate goals.
Assisting with all app and applications upgrades
Daily work in SAP applications (SD, MM, FICO, BW, BI)
Daily work in MS Office and SharePoint productivity applications
Writing the training programs, including outline, text, handouts and tests, and design laboratory exercises
Preparing documentation specifying System requirements and proposals for business applications upgrades
Assisting users in the resolution and research of system issues and operating problems as assigned
Providing technical guidance to users
Selecting and/or developing teaching aids, such as training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, and reference works
Directing the activities of designated trainers for each business location, including schedules and travel plans
Providing ongoing status reports on the training program to management
Participating in meetings, seminars, and training sessions to obtain information useful to IT and integrate information into software development activities and training programs.
Working with business analysts, programmer analysts, and IT staff members to improve overall skills, recommend system solutions, and resolve other issues
May participate in installation of software
Qualifications: Bachelor or Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
ITL, Training certification, Computer Applications certification, or Information Systems certification or equivalent experience preferred
At least 2 years of technical training, incident management, or customer service experience, preferably with logistics organization
Experience in distribution business operations preferred
High level of organization skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated proficiency at user training
Demonstrated proficiency at incident management
Demonstrated proficiency at providing a high level of customer service
Demonstrated proficiency at communicating technical information to non-technical personnel
Demonstrated proficiency at communicating with large groups
Demonstrated proficiency at teaching utilizing WebEx, GoToMeeting, and Videoconference systems
Demonstrated understanding of general business concepts such as inventory management, and sales management, preferably in a distribution environment
Demonstrated understanding of SAP concepts: Order to Cash, and Procure to Pay
Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Working knowledge of Linux, Windows, Unix and other related operating systems a plus
Strong communication skills
