IT Training Specialist (Tech Support)

Description:Animal Health International, the premier animal health products distributor offering cattle, equine, poultry, swine and companion animal products and supplies is seeking an experienced IT Training Specialist to join our IT Team. The right candidate will get the opportunity to work with a large, stable and growing organization that prides itself on modern IT solutions to support their business.
Duties: Transact all business in accordance to Animal Health International Inc.s business code of ethics and conduct.
Responsible for all aspects of computer systems training. Which may include traveling.
Assist with all Operating System and applications upgrades
Write the training program, including outline, text, handouts and tests, and design laboratory exercises
Prepare documentation specifying System requirements and proposals for business applications upgrades
Assist users in the resolution and research of system issues and operating problems
Provide technical guidance to users over the phone
Select and/or develop teaching aids
Direct the activities of designated trainers for each business location, including schedules and travel plans
Responsible for providing ongoing status reports on the training program
Participate in meetings, seminars and training sessions to obtain information useful to IT and integrate information into software development activities and training programs
Qualifications:Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
High attention to detail
Able to meet deadlines
Proficient at training the trainer
Proficient at communicating technical information to laymen over the phone
Proficient at communicating with large groups
Proficient at teaching utilizing WebEx like systems
Understanding of general business concepts
Working knowledge of MS applications including Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project
Working knowledge of Linux, Windows and other related operating systems a plus
Strong communication skills

Education or Formal Training:
Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred
Corporate Training Certification or equivalent experience
Computer Applications certification or Information Systems certification a plus

Experience:
At least 2 years of technical training experience in a formal information technology work environment, preferably with a logistics organization
Experience in distribution business operations preferred
